A day exclusively to the celebration of the world's women?

In the words of Late Pt Jawaharlal Nehru: "You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women". As we will be celebrating women’s day on 08th March, I feel that it is my duty to express my gratitude to all women in my life, as a mother, sister, friend, and peer…to all known and unknown women’s
In recent decades, much progress has been made. On a worldwide level, women's access to education and proper health care has increased; their participation in the paid labor force has grown; and legislation that promises equal opportunities for women and respect for their human rights has been adopted in many countries. The world now has an ever- growing number of women participating in society as policy-makers.
However, nowhere in the world can women claim to have all the same rights and opportunities as men.
The majority of the world's 1.3 billion absolute poor are women.
On average, women receive between 30 and 40 per cent less pay than men earn for the same work.
And everywhere, women continue to be victims of violence, with rape and domestic violence listed as significant causes of disability and death among women of reproductive age worldwide.

She is a Woman
She is a pretty baby girl with out parents
She is a child who abused by nature
She is a little stupid girl.. With innocent heart
She is a teen age girl raped by a stranger
She is the wife without a ring
She is the mother with no children
She is the wife who abused by her man
She is every thing and she is nothing
She is a Woman
She is a beautiful flower with innumerable thorns
Her lips are like lotus petals and
Her eyes are like a glass of wine….
But
She is not living but existing
She has fairy wings but she cannot fly
She can speak but not lament
She can smile through her tears..
She is one unfortunate woman
She is a woman…
It is not like that..
It is not just like that
So many turns do come in the bond of life
No body is there in this world that does not have problems
And who is not struggling in life
Don’t ever loose hope..Don’t ever think that you are weak
You are hundred times stronger than men
You know why?
You are the one who gives birth to a man
Doesn’t matter what you looks like
Doesn’t matter what the color of your skin

But
you are a woman
I admire the character that shines in your eyes
I envy the passion you have for life
Go stand up gather those who agree to fight for
What you stand for whatever that may be
You are a mother Yahsoda who brought up lord Krishna
You are a mother Sita who went into exile for fourteen years
You are Mrs.Sangha mitra who gave up her entire life for the
Sake of her brothers!!!!

Four line from some poet on this occasion :-
"ek patthar pighalte dekha hai,
usko najare badalte dekha hai,
ek din raushni karenge hum,
hamne suraj nikalte dekha."
